Yowza! Board of Regents wants $130 tech fee (up from $65)
The Arizona Board of Regents apparently wants to increase the new mandatory student technology fee from $65/yr to $130/yr. The fee appeared to have slipped under our noses last year, but this proposed increase appears to be meeting some opposition.
Two ASUA senators have set up StopTheFee.org and a cooresponding Facebook group in order to organize opposition against the fee, which is expected to be voted upon on November 30th.
Expect more blogging (or maybe a podcast) within the week if I’m not too stuffed. The pre-Thanksgiving influx of papers and presentations is officially over.
